PURPOSE OF THE EVENT: To promote active outdoor recreation, as well as to challenge
participants to test their limits in honor of themselves, the Latvian state,
and its over 100 years of freedom.

RULES
FORMAT OF THE EVENT: The hike has a control time of 26 hours, and the route length
is 100 km.
Participants start at the time and location specified in the regulations. The
participants' task is to walk a 100-kilometer pre-determined route within the
specified control time.
By registering for the hike, participants confirm that they are familiar with the event regulations and additional information provided by the organizers, and they agree to follow all the rules mentioned in the regulations as well as any additional instructions from the organizers.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Respect nature and human-made values. Do not pollute the environment and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- There is a possibility of encountering wild animals along the route. Be cautious!
- When moving on public roads and city streets, traffic rules must be observed.
- Failure to comply with the rules and instructions may lead to disqualification. It is also forbidden to participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behave recklessly, or show disrespect towards other participants and organizers.
PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
- During nighttime, participants must wear a reflective vest and have a headlamp or hand lamp switched on.
- Each participant must carry a mobile phone with a charged battery to contact organizers in case of emergencies. The organizers' phone number will be provided in the pre-event booklet and on a laminated participant card.
- During registration, each participant will receive a personalized A5-sized laminated card. The card, which should be visible throughout the event, will be used for participant identification, collecting commemorative badges, and storing important information.
- If a participant wishes to drop out of the hike, they must notify the organizers, even if no evacuation is needed. Participation fees are non-refundable.
- Participants may bring a support person, who can only assist at the start, finish, and/or control points specified in the regulations. Support persons are prohibited from helping participants during the hike.
- Participants agree not to hold the organizers responsible for injuries caused by overestimating their abilities, negligence, or lack of experience.
- Participants must arrange their own transportation to and from the event.
- Participants agree to assist any other participant in difficulty and notify the organizers immediately if health issues arise for any participant.
- By registering for the hike, participants consent to the publication of their results on the K-punkts.lv website and social media, where their name, surname, and result will be publicly available.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Participants must be at least 18 years old, with age determined as of November
17, 2024.
Participants are responsible for their health and safety. By adhering to traffic
rules and safety measures, the hike can be completed without endangering health
or life.

- 7:00 AM: Participants arrive at the start location and register.
- 8:30 AM: Gathering at the start location.
- 9:00 AM: Hike starts.
NOVEMBER 18, 2024
- 11:00 AM: The last participants are expected to finish.
- 12:00 PM: The event site closes.
CONTROL POINTS AND THEIR WORKING HOURS
During the route, participants must visit 5 control points: start, KP2, KP3, KP4, and finish. These control points are part of the route and must be visited in the specified order. Each control point has a set working time. Participants arriving outside of this time may not have access to equipment. For each control point visit, participants will receive a commemorative badge with a Latvian symbol, which will be explained in the pre-start booklet.

KP3 (63 km): Slokas Quarry, Jūrmala
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM.
Facilities: campfire, toilets, tables, chairs, food*, medical assistance, volunteers. -
KP4 (81 km): Bulduri Church Courtyard, Jūrmala
Working hours: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
Facilities: campfire, toilets, tables, chairs, food*, medical assistance, volunteers. -
KP5 (Finish): Bebru Street 10, Mārupe
Working hours: 12:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
Facilities: parking, indoor toilets, tables, chairs, electricity, commemorative awards, and surprise.

- Hot and cold drinking water, tea, coffee, and broth
- Isotonic drinks, energy bars
- Snacks – fruits, vegetables, nuts, candies, cookies, chocolate, and others (specific requests can be indicated in the registration form 😊)
- At KP3, homemade buns will also be available, and at KP4 – warm soup and bread
Terrain
The hiking route will mostly follow gravel roads with little traffic. During the route, participants will also move through forest paths, gravel and asphalt roads, beaches, sidewalks, and a small section on highways and narrow trails.
ROUTE AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR NAVIGATION
The route will not be marked with special signs or indications. Participants can follow the route in three different ways:
- Using a mobile app (internet connection not required)
- Download the “OsmAnd” app from the App Store or Google Play (registration not required)
- Download the map of Latvia in the app to use it offline.
- A GPX route file will be available in the pre-start information via email, which can be loaded into the app.
- This method allows participants to follow the route without an internet connection. If there are any questions about this app, assistance will be available at the event center before the start.
- Loading the route file into a sports watch
- GPX and KML route files will be available in the pre-start information via email, which can be loaded into sports watches.
- Receiving a printed route on paper
- The number of printed materials will be limited, considering the large scale and the aspect of paper conservation.

The participation fee covers the planning and preparation of the hiking
route, printing participant booklets and laminating cards, commemorative
prizes, catering at control points, medical assistance, evacuation services,
and other organizational expenses. The participation fee must be paid via
bank transfer to the account specified during the registration process,
by the last date of the respective payment period. Unpaid registrations
will be canceled within 3 working days after the deadline.
Participants can make free changes to their registration until November 10,
11:59 PM, by emailing [email protected].
If a participant cancels their participation by November 10, 11:59 PM (by
notifying the organizer via email), 50% of the paid participation fee will
be refunded. If a participant cancels participation after November 10,
withdraws, or is disqualified from the event, the participation fee will
not be refunded.
